Cruel Intentions DVD Reese Witherspoon

This modern teen update Liaisons dangereuses suffered at the hands of critics and viewers, thanks to the advertising campaign, which aggressively arc of the film, very sexual, faux serious drama (not unlike the successful, Oscar-nominated Dangerous Liaisons). In fact, Cruel Intentions plays like high comedy of the first two thirds, as its two evil heroes, rich siblings Kathryn (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and Sebastian (Ryan Phillippe), happily ruin their lives and reputations with hearts as blacks the coal.Kathryn wants revenge on a boyfriend who abandoned her, so she befriends his new destination, the OVO Cecile (Selma Blair), and gets Sebastian to deflower the innocent virgin. The meat of the game, however, is the seduction of good girl Annette Sebastien (to-earth Reese Witherspoon), who wrote a nationally published essay "Why choose to wait." If he fails, Kathryn gets his precious vintage convertible, if he wins, he gets Kathryn - in the bag. When the movie sticks to the ruin of happy pieces Kathryn and Sebastian, is very enjoyable: Gellar in particular is an extraordinary two-faced manipulator, and Phillippe, usually a black hole, it achieves a good time as a Eurotrash stud hipster. Pleasantly surprising of all is Witherspoon, who brings a remarkable effect of self-insured on a character usually considered vulnerable and tortured (see Michelle Pfeiffer in Dangerous Liaisons). Unfortunately, writer-director Roger Kumble undermines everything he has built for the purpose of the characters are true or false or redesigned the original story - revenge is a dish best served cold, cooked unnecessary twists.
